My name is Melody Brewer. I am a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC) and Member of the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA).
I immigrated to Kelowna from the United Kingdom with my husband and family some years ago.
I have worked in a wide range of settings within Social Services Adult Mental Health
and the Private sector for many years.
Having worked with diverse cultural groups, Individuals, families, elderly, and with supporting caregivers and their families, I have experience in all areas of dealing with and helping people. I am experienced at working with a wide range of issues, including Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Low Self-esteem, Relationship difficulties, Bereavement, and loss. and more.......
My commitment is to provide my clients with a trusting, caring, nonjudgmental environment, and respect the uniqueness of each individual.
I believe that we all have the resources to enable us to develop and grow. When people are given the right kind of support, they are able to build on their existing strengths and develop healthy and enjoyable relationships with others and live a more fulfilling life.
Through professional and life experience of many transitions I have compassion and empathy surrounding the difficulties, emotional, personal, and family challenges that relocating to a new country or province can bring.
One of my areas of specialty is working with clients who are struggling with
Cultural and immigration adjustment.
